All of the comics that made the Top 10 list appeared on the
Washington Post’s web site in July 2010. The Post also announced the contest in
its printed version. Readers were then asked to go online to review all of
the strips, then cast their vote for their favorite. After a week of public
voting, the comics with the highest number of votes would advance into the Top
5.
Hoxwinder Hall voted a Top 5 finalist!
As great as it was to have my comic strip selected as a Top
10 finalist by a panel of judges, it was even more satisfying
to be sent into the Top 5 by the voting public. This meant that
ordinary everyday newspaper readers also liked Hoxwinder Hall. My confidence was at an all-time high!
