Several years ago, Senator Bob Menendez and wife were indicted on federal bribery charges for accepting money and gold bars in
exchange for using his power and influence as a U.S. senator to enrich
and protect the three businessmen and benefit Egypt's government. Today Bob Menendez was sentenced to 11 years in prison after being convicted.
