Waiting for a Big Red Wave

Above: Digital Illustration.
Most political polls, pundits, and Republicans themselves were expecting their candidates to be voted into power in overwhelming numbers during the recent midterm elections. This hypothetical change in power was called a "Red Wave." Republicans figured that a big spike in inflation would be reason enough to accomplish their goals of becoming the majority political party in both houses of Congress. Fortunately for Democrats, the exact opposite occurred and that Red Wave didn't happen.
